The Georgia Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation is seeking volunteers to help with pollination work at Berry College and a nearby site.  Volunteers need not have prior training, but must be able to work outdoors for several hours at a time and if possible, use an orchard ladder.  On site training on safety practices and techniques of pollination will be given to all novice volunteers.  This is a great way to assist our effort to breed disease resistance into American chestnuts as a key part of our restoration program.  Volunteers will meet at the greenhouse behind Berry College's McAllister Hall promptly at the beginning of a shift, then we will carpool to the orchard site.  We will email if weather or other circumstances cause a cancellation,

Thanks so much and we hope to see you!

There are no shifts available at this time.
